Let's face it, life can get MESSY! Mind Your Mess was founded with the realization that many people desire more organization in their lives but just aren't sure where to start.
Whether your life is messy due to an overwhelming amount of stuff, a chaotic schedule, or even a major life change, we can help you put systems in place to restore order and organization in your life.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. I never fully understood the magnet on my grandma's fridge that said this until I grew up. Now, I live by that statement. I try not to live in the past and let what happened yesterday or 10 years ago shape my future in any negative way. I love living in the moment, having new experiences and trying new things. I appreciate the outdoors, smiling people, dogs and of course, anything labeled. If I'm not working on creating amazing spaces for clients, you can probably find me at crossfit or somewhere outdoors!
I am so grateful that life has lead me to start Mind Your Mess and share my passion of living a less cluttered life with the world. I want everyone to know that you don't have to live in chaos. Live simply.

One thing at a time. This motto has shaped me from a young age. One day, my dad found me sobbing on the floor of my bedroom because I didn't know how to start cleaning the mess around me. I remember him saying, "Just clean one thing at a time!" And just like that, an organizer was born.
My skills improved through years of straightening my room, my sister's room, my friends' rooms, any room I could get my hands on. Eventually, my passion lead me into the organizing profession, and I am incredibly grateful this passion (read: addiction) can benefit the lives of our clients.
I'm a midwest girl transplanted into the Pacific Northwest and loving it. After years in corporate HR, I left to pursue my passion of organizing and helping people remove some stress in their lives and find more time for what they love.
I'm your personal Human Resources manager! Organizing for me is a way to clear my head and take control of my space in this crazy world. I've been that way for as long as I can remember and I love getting to do it for others too!.
My name is Michelle and I am a lead organizer with Mind Your Mess! I am a fanatic for functional spaces and love taking on projects big and small. My favorites definitely include organizing fun children's spaces, finding functional solutions for garages, and pretty much anything involving tons of labeling.
I am a hometown girl - born and raised in Houston- and went to Rice University where I obtained a degree in biological sciences. I have experience in a variety of fields including children's education, humane education, human resources and zoo keeping (yes, really - I was a zoo keeper!). Throughout all of my careers, I have always enjoyed keeping my schedule, work space, students, staff, and even animals, incredibly organized.
When I found out that I could help others get organized professionally, I jumped for joy and decided to leave my office environment to work for Ashley and Julie at Mind Your Mess! Outside of organizing, I spend my time doing Crossfit at Crossfit Central Houston, volunteering at the Houston Zoo, and hanging out with my amazing husband, Frank, and our adorable pets - Lily, Doug, Flipper and Dipper. I hope to be able to help you get more organized in the future!
